About my Comprehensive Corrective Bodywork

In this offering, I listen to you and your body to customize your session with advanced corrective manual techniques.

Like a PT or Osteopathic doctor that performs manual medicine, I will analyze your posture, the manner in which you walk, and learn your health history of surgeries, injuries and medications. This is to gain a deeper understanding of you so I can best treat the source of discomfort and provide appropriate support for your wellness goals.

The quality of my touch will be more about precision, specificity and listening to your body as I go along releasing restrictions.

Your session may include some massage techniques from Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage and acupressure to further comfort and ease pain in your body.

In concert with you, I bring my wheelhouse of over a decade of training and practice to your session.

The quality of my touch is geared more towards precision and specificity as I listen to your body and release tension. Your session may include some massage techniques from Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage and acupressure to comfort and ease pain in your body. My goal is to treat the source of discomfort and provide appropriate support for your wellness goals.

With this modality, I help with abdominal and/or related musculoskeletal discomfort. This includes digestive concerns, incontinence, menstrual discomfort, bloating, limitations in breathing, internal organ functions and more. Techniques from visceral manipulation can benefit the spinal column by working with anterior tissues of the spine via the organs.

This “is a gentle and specific hands on therapy which helps to free up the nerves and the connective tissue (dura mater) around the nerves, brain, spinal cord and cranial bones so that the nervous system functions better.” (Barral and Croibier 2007) I have extensively used this modality to alleviate and resolve clients with nerve tingling, neuropathy and muscular tension. It is very effective for sciatica or any nerve related concerns. Note: This modality cannot be practiced on people with diabetes as this technique is contra-indicated for people with that condition.

A very effective type of manual therapy to help correct concussion patterns, headaches, migraines, low back pain, jaw disorders (TMJ, teeth grinding, and general central nervous system (CNS) tension. the nerves, brain, spinal cord and cranial bones so that the nervous system functions better.” (Barral and Croibier 2007) I have extensively used this modality to alleviate and resolve clients with nerve tingling, neuropathy and muscular tension. It is very effective for sciatica or any nerve related concerns. Note: This modality cannot be practiced on people with diabetes as this technique is contra-indicated for people with that condition.

In working with your arteries, I help address circulation concerns, whiplash related effects to the chest cavity and heart, abdominal tension, lower pelvic tension, lack of blood flow to the arms, legs, feet and hands. This can also alleviate digestive and musculoskeletal discomfort.

In my training with Ortho-bionomy teachers who studied with Dr. Arthur Lincoln Pauls, this modality helps to re-train and educate the body to come into greater physical harmony through tissue appropriate positioning and joint mobilization. The touch is gentle yet effective in helping bones, muscles, and tissues unwind.

With my training in qigong tui na, I am able to help mobilize your joints in your wrist to mitigate and resolve issues for carpal tunnel and work on loosening tendon restrictions. It is my goal to relieve you of tendonitis and avoid more invasive procedures. I use time honored qigong tui na techniques to pulse the synovial fluid and help bring more life back to your hands.

For your evolving body, from pregnancy to post-delivery, I will help you relax and unwind in your journey. I assist in helping you overcome physical setbacks with effective techniques to target your problem areas. This includes addressing sciatica, hip tension, neck back and shoulder pain, jaw discomfort, bloating, chest pain, and more.

With my extensive education on the female pelvis, I am able to help with tailbone compression syndromes, alleviating pain on sexual intercourse, nerve entrapment and pain in the pelvic, low back, leg and foot regions, frequent urination, incontinence and more. I am also equipped to help female teens and women overcome menstrual discomfort and pain with effective pelvic techniques.
