Massage and healing touch is so integral to the wellness of a human being. Through my many years of practice, from learning from my grandmother how to do massage at the age of four, to massaging my friends and family members throughout my childhood, teenage years, and early 20s, in 2013, I continued my professional bodywork journey first through taking Chi Nei Tsang (Daoist Internal Organ Massage) classes with Gilles Marin at the Berkeley Chi Nei Tsang Institute and with Caryn Diel in the Southwest, then venturing into Ortho-bionomy, developed by Osteopath Dr. Arthur Lincoln Pauls at the Mckinnon Institute in Oakland and SF School of Massage. From there, by early 2015, I enrolled in a 500 hour massage therapist program at the Mckinnon Institute, taking classes in Shiatsu, Acupressure, Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Craniosacral Therapy. Other workshops I have taken with include:
SF School of Massage: Ortho-bionomy with Jim Berns
Jim Berns: 40 hour Ortho-bionomy residential
Caryn Diel, White Cloud Institute: Santa Fe, New Mexico- Studied Chi Nei Tsang: Level 1
ASIS School of Massage: Caryn Diel. Sedona, Arizona. Studied Chi Nei Tsang Level 2
Over 100 hours of training at the Barral Institute for Visceral Manipulation from the work of Osteopath Dr. Jean Paul Barral under Dee Ahern, P.T., Peter Coppola, P.T., and Dr. Ron Mariotti, N.D. Completion of classes levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. http://www.barralinstitute.com
Osteopathic workshops with Dr. Joshua Margolis.
My aim is to facilitate the potential of the body to heal and unwind, and to cause no further trauma to the tissues. The goal of each session is to eliminate holding patterns and to promote optimal health and wellness.
