About Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong

Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong is a 1,500 year old qigong set based on acupuncture.

It is known to release stagnant chi, increases the circulation of blood, chi, and other fluids in the body, raises the energy levels in the body, and was known in China for extending the lives of patients with terminal cancer 5-10 years if they practice about 5 hours daily.

It consists of seven movements that each have unique effects on healing and tonifying the body physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically when you reach level 2 Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong.

It is a fantastic low-impact exercise that is extremely useful in healing the joints, improving balance, coordination, and flexibility.

About Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong

“Tai Chi is trying to get rid of human compulsion” – My notes from Bruce Frantzis’ lectures in 2011 Wu Style Tai Chi (Short Form) Instructor Training in Brighton, England.

The benefits of Tai Chi are far-reaching. Tai chi trains the major ligaments, tones the muscles, trains biomechanical alignments, massages the internal organs through constant turning of the waist and limbs, stretches the body, reduces neck, back and shoulder pain, regulates fluid movement in the body. It also increases breathing capacity, chi flow, reduces stress, encourages emotional, mental, energetic relaxation, and later, spiritual relaxation.

Consists of 4 main energies:

1) Peng: Rising/Expansion

2) Liu: Roll Back, absorption of energy

3) Ji: Project forward

4) An: Press Down
